Artist Talk- Takashi

Takashi Arai gave a talk at Project Basho when we went and did the dag workshop in the alt process class. Even though he has a very thick Japanese accent, I could still understand what he was saying. He knew exactly what he liked to do, and how to do it. He practiced really hard to get where he is today when it comes to the daguerreotype. I also came to understand that when speaking you need to relax and take your time. Biggest thing of all is to just be yourself because you don't want to give the listener/viewer the wrong impression about your work and how you feel about it.
